Jake Newman is an 18-year-old indie folk musician from the Rocky Mountains. Growing up, he was raised by his grandparents where he inherited their taste in music. He was particularly fond of the folky guitar sounds of Neil Young and John Denver as well as the rock music of Steely Dan, Paul McCartney & Wings, and Crosby Stills & Nash. After his grandfather taught him guitar nothing could stand in his way from writing his own music. At the ripe age of 16, Jake released his first album on September 30th, 2021. Shortly thereafter he began to write another while also performing concerts in his hometown of Bayfield. In the spring of 2023, Jake had released his second album on April 30th, 2023. He graduated high school shortly thereafter.
